Who We Are
Many people these day are experiencing extraordinary challenges, including hardships likely to persist for months and even years for our neighbors who have lost income. Our goal is to ensure that nobody goes hungry.
What We Do
Our Hunger Relief programs are growing to meet the community’s needs. A few examples include:
- Food Boxes: Opportunities are available most days of the week to pick up food boxes at Catholic Pastoral Center, McGruder, South Nashville, and Holy Name Strobel Hall.
- To-Go Meals: Catholic Charities has partnerships with local restaurants and other nonprofits to provide ready-to-eat meals in portable containers. We provide hot meals for individuals and families every Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Community (14544 Lebanon Rd, Old Hickory, TN 37138).
- Additional Partnerships: Catholic Charities is in touch with many Middle Tennessee neighbors who need help with food, and we are looking for new partnership opportunities. Strengthening these and other Hunger Relief programs enables recipients to focus on paying for rent, utilities, and other essentials.
