Catholic Charities is currently responding to an increased number of applications from households impacted by Winter Storm Fern, and we are seeking dedicated volunteers to help us support our neighbors during this recovery period.
The primary need at this time is for volunteers who can assist with light case work. This includes calling clients, helping gather eligibility documents, and supporting staff in ensuring applications are complete so assistance can be processed as quickly as possible. Volunteers will work alongside staff and receive guidance, training, and clear expectations before getting started.
Volunteer responsibilities may include contacting clients to request required documents, organizing application materials, assisting with file preparation, and supporting general workflow needs. No prior case management experience is required, just strong communication skills, compassion, and a willingness to help.
Flexible scheduling options are available, along with working remotely, and we welcome individuals, parish groups, and community partners who are able to offer their time over the coming weeks.
